The International Association of Adaptive Sciences, founded by Dr. Leslie Panchula, over 50 years ago, in conjunction with Dr Pierre Bovoix Pognon, founder of Mission de l'espoir des démunis d'haiti; Rome Foundation; Centro Cultural Guanin, Inc, in Santo Domingo and Rev. Roger Beauliere, in St. Mark, Haiti, have been able to contribute to the relief effort, by providing basic needs: shelter; medical aid; food, water and education.
We have several schools, medical clinics; orphanages and nutrition distribution centres, in several locations, in Haiti and in the Dominican Republic. Sadly, due to the devastating earthquake, several of our buildings were demolished.
By the Grace of God, the Medical Centres, in Pernier, Petion-ville, Kenskoff, Pernier, Thomazeau and St Marc, were spared and are busy assisting the injured.
As the infrastructure and support facilities, in Port-Au-Prince were destroyed, the homeless and injured must travel over 100 miles, to reach the aid centre, in St. Marc, under the direction of Rev. Roger Beauliere, where they receive food shelter and medical treatment.
We only have enough supplies, to minister to the needs of the devastated populace, for a short time. Your immediate support is desperately needed, to keep these aid centres open and helping the homeless, hungry and injured.
In addition to St. Marc, many of the victims are transported to Santo Domingo, to receive treatment and care. The Guanin Centre is overwhelmed and is in dire need of medical supplies, food, water, clothing, building supplies: heavy equipments, trucks, cars, lumber; sheet rock, cement, screws; nails; generators or any old tools you have, gathering dust. Anything you can donate at this will serve our purpose. At this time, we are sending our members to Haiti, with shipments of donated medical supplies, food and clothing, that are so desperately needed, by those affected by this tragic event.
We are accepting donations of whatever you can spare: a can of food, a bottle of water, clothes that have been hanging in your closet, for years, a spare dollar...anything that might ease the pain and suffering, of our Haitian brothers and sisters.
